Creating Opportunities to Flourish and Thrive
The right opportunities can trigger a chain reaction that nourishes dreams into reality. It takes a lot of courage to learn a new language, meet new people, or trust something you never imagined could be real. We meet kids every day who face their fears to embark on a path that can provide them with a solid foundation to take advantage of new opportunities.
We provide daily support for over 150 students eager to learn English and computer skills in Tevea Mean Chey and Tang Banteay Villages in Kampong Speu Province. We serve 3,000+ students from schools throughout Kampong Speu, providing library books, lighting, office supplies, computer equipment, and more. Partnering with NGO’s and schools allows us to expand opportunities for students while collaborating on fun educational events. For example, competitive speaking presentations, games and sporting events, and creative technology projects.
Our hands-on management in Cambodia provides invaluable oversight, positively impacting our target communities throughout the country while providing assurance to our donors that our mission is effectively being carried out on their behalf. CamCOE staff in Cambodia and the US are 100% volunteers.

Students in rural Cambodia lack resources to effectively compete with their urban peers. Most students have never used a computer, leaving them unprepared for competitive universities.
CamCOE develops opportunities that provide resources and access to competitive academic experiences. We encourage participation in academics, technology, arts, and sports, and seek opportunities for students to engage these skills.

Culture
CamCOE emphasizes culture because it is so important for our students and families, as well as our supporters and donors.
We’ve led field trips to Angkor Wat and the genocide museum, connecting students to their rich culture and traditions as well as their difficult history.
We share multicultural norms and traditions in our programs and in return share Khmer culture with our supporters.
It’s a wonderful partnership fostering teamwork from within CamCOE.

We Support
We support local staff and schools in the communities we serve. Examples include hiring Cambodian teachers, construction workers, and craftspeople in nearby communities.
Teachers in local public schools commonly supplement their incomes with outside opportunities. We seek these teachers to support our local communities.
