PROPOSED

SOM SOUS COMMUNITY CENTER & LIBRARY

TEVEA MEAN CHEY VILLAGE, KAMPONG SPEU

The above image shows a portion of the land donated by Som Sous and his wife, Khim Yon. Located in Tevea Mean Chey Village, Kampong Speu, Cambodia. Currently used as a small peanut farm, it is located near numerous primary schools and several high schools and will serve hundreds of families in the surrounding villages and communities in rural Thpong District.

Meet Som Sous, the visionary behind this project. Sous was the first director of Veal Pon Primary School, located about 3 km from the site, after the fall of the Khmer Rouge. His dream was to build a library to serve students and families and he donated this land prior to his passing in 2022. It’s our passion to carry out this project along with your support.
